Residents of suite- and apartment-style buildings are responsible for cleaning shared bathrooms. Facilities makes cleaning supplies available to students at no charge.
With help from IRN: The Reuse Network, Columbia Housing provided gently used bedroom, dining, and lounge furniture sets to seven charities, providing support to organizations in need, extending the life of useable furniture, and diverting 150,000 pounds of waste from entering landfills.

Streaming television service from Spectrum is now available free of charge to undergraduate students living in Columbia Housing.
On October 1, the John Jay Lounge reopened for student use following a renovation. The refreshed lounge features new furniture and a large screen TV, updated light fixtures, new carpeting, and fresh paint. We hope you stop by and check it out!
