Collection Drive Sponsored by the Food Pantry at Columbia, May 1-10

Help support the Food Pantry at Columbia by donating your non-perishable food items to the Canned Goods Drive! Donations will be accepted from May 1 through May 10.

Now students can check machine availability and sign up for washer or dryer cycle notifications.

Room Selection 2024 is Wednesday, March 27 - Friday, April 14. Use the list of lottery numbers and corresponding group size to help you plan for your Room Selection appointment. 

Columbia Housing is monitoring outdoor temperatures to ensure that heating systems are turned off when appropriate.

Students who were unable to select a room during Room Selection due to their configuration have were notified on April 17 and added to the Guaranteed Assignment List. Assignment will be sent to students in July.

On Monday, May 8, students approved for 2023 summer housing or spring extensions received instructions from Columbia Housing. 

During the first few weeks of May, undergraduate residential students will be checking out of Columbia University housing. To facilitate the Check-Out process, Columbia Housing is installing temporary ramps at some residence halls and closing street parking on select neighborhood streets for brief periods.

Housing applications for 2023 Spring Interim, Summer Session I, or the full Summer Session are now available. Summer housing is first come, first served and is subject to availability. 

During inspections, staff enter student spaces to ensure that all fire safety equipment is in place and in functioning order, and that there are no prohibited items. Residents will receive email notification from Columbia Housing 48 hours prior to their building’s inspection date and do not need to be present.
