Returning Upperclass Students: Find Your Check-In Location

Your Check-In location and process will vary by building. Follow these steps to have a smooth move-in experience.

August 10, 2023

Step 1: Arrive at Your Selected Check-In Time

If you have not yet selected a time, please do so as soon as possible in the Housing Portal. We encourage students to check in on formal Check-In Day, September 1, to take advantage of resources like street closures, bin rentals, and moving support. However, you may choose to arrive at any time over the weekend.

Step 2: Initiate Check-In on your Arrival Day

Within 24 hours of your arrival, log in to the Housing Portal to initiate Check-In. This step will be available on the "Web Check-In/Out” page. Plan to complete this step before arriving to campus to prevent move-in delays.

This will update your card with access to your building and room.

Step 3: Complete Check-In at Your Assigned Location

  • Hartley residents should proceed to the Hartley Hospitality Desk.
  • Woodbridge residents should proceed to the 212 Café located in Lerner Hall.
  • Residents of other buildings may need to complete Check-In at a CUID card encoder. Find your building in this table to confirm your Check-In process.

Step 4: Proceed to Your Room

Before you unpack your belongings, log in to the Housing Portal to take our brief Check-In survey and to complete the Room Condition Report (RCR)The RCR is mandatory. It records the condition of the furniture in your room at the time of move-in and will serve as the basis for damages during occupancy. Failure to complete the RCR may result in damage charges at Check-Out.
