Do Not Bring
Prohibited Items
Certain items are prohibited in the residence halls for the safety of the entire community. Review list of Prohibited Items in the Guide to Living before you start packing. These items are not allowed in the residence halls. Highlights include no pets, candles, extension cords, outside furniture, hot-pot style coffee makers (pod-style coffee makers like Keurigs are fine), rice cookers or other cooking appliances (unless you have access to a shared kitchen or common space), and no hoverboards or e-bikes.
Outside Furniture
Your room is furnished with everything you will need and these items must remain in your space during occupancy. Due to fire safety policies, non-University provided upholstered furniture like couches or futons are not allowed.
Remember, everything you bring into your room at Check-In will need to be moved out at the end of the academic year.
