Transfer, Combined Plan & Exchange Students
Check-In for transfer, Combined Plan and exchange students is on August 30. Students should log in to the Housing Portal to select a Check-In time based on appointment availability and their personal schedule.
Returning Upperclass Students
Check-In for returning upperclass students is on September 2. Students should log in to the Housing Portal to select a Check-In time based on appointment availability and their personal schedule.
Although classes do not start until the following week, we encourage returning upperclass students to check in on September 2 to take advantage of Check-In resources like campus-wide blue bin access and street closures, which will only be available that day.
Your Room Assignment
All upperclass students with guaranteed housing have received a Housing assignment for AY 2022-2023. Room assignments are viewable in the homepage sidebar of the Housing Portal.

- Your UNI is your mailbox number. See instructions from Columbia Mail for how to address mail and packages.
- Take advantage of package pre-delivery. Items received between August 1 and August 15 will be delivered to your room prior to Check-In. Packages received before August 1 will be returned to sender.
- The Mail Center will be closed until 2:00 p.m. on September 2. Mail Center hours of operation will be posted to the Mail Services website.
