Check-In Information Sent to Upperclass Students on July 1

On July 1, upperclass students, including transfer, exchange, and Combined Plan students, received an email from Columbia Housing with important Check-In information and, if applicable, their room assignment. Continue reading for a summary of the email.

Your Check-In Assignment

Transfer, Combined Plan & Exchange Students

Check-In for transfer, Combined Plan and exchange students is on August 30. Assigned Check-In times between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. will be sent in our next communication in mid-July.

Returning Upperclass Students

Check-In for returning upperclass students is on September 2. Following our next communication in mid-July, students will be able to select a Check-In time through the Housing Portal. 

Although classes do not start until the following week, we encourage returning upperclass students to check in on September 2 to take advantage of Check-In resources like campus-wide blue bin access and street closures, which will only be available that day. 

Your Room Assignment

Most students were sent their AY 2022-23 room assignment in this communication. For those student, the room assignment is viewable in the homepage sidebar of the Housing Portal.

Some transfer students and students on the Housing Waitlist may not have received an assignment. Please know that if you are guaranteed housing, you will receive an on-campus Housing assignment before Check-In.

Your Roommate's Contact Information

You can find your roommate's name and email address in the homepage sidebar of the Housing Portal. If you do not have a roommate, this section will appear blank.
