You will receive notification from Columbia Housing about accessing the application via the Columbia Housing Portal.
To ensure a smooth web experience, access is in phases by last name, according to the following schedule:
- A-E: Tuesday, May 3 beginning 8:00 a.m.
- F-L: Tuesday, May 3 beginning 4:00 p.m.
- M-R: Wednesday, May 4 beginning 8:00 a.m.
- S-Z: Wednesday, May 4 beginning 4:00 p.m.
Please be assured assignments will not be made until all students have completed their application.
The deadline to complete the application is May 16 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

The application will also allow you to request access to bag drop the day before official Check-In (for domestic students only). Learn more about bag drop on the Check-In page.
More information including your Check-In time will be provided along with your room assignment in late June. In the meantime, mark your calendar:
- Saturday, August 27: Bag drop for domestic students only
- Saturday, August 27: Check-In for international students
- Sunday, August 28: Check-In for Domestic students
