Policy
Authorized Columbia Undergraduate recognized student groups interested in hosting social or charitable events in residence halls should contact their adviser and Event Management to coordinate space reservations. Residence Hall Lounges are only available for student group use during the academic year. The lounges are unavailable during summer and winter breaks. Performance lounges can only be booked Friday - Sunday by performance groups. Performances cannot be amplified. If guests are attending an event, a guest list will need to be provided to Public Safety by Residential Life or the group's adviser.
Procedure for Recognized Student Groups
Recognized Students Groups must submit an event request through the Event Management System (EMS). Visit the Event Management website for informational resources and step-by-step instructions.
Events are subject to approval by the Student Group Adviser. If non-Columbia guests are attending the event, student groups must submit a guest list to Residential Life.
