Check-In Steps

Step 1: Arrive at Your Selected Check-In Time

If you have not yet selected a time, please do so as soon as possible in the Housing Portal. Check-In appointments are available between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26. Late arrivals may miss new student programming hosted by their school.

Residents of 503 W. 121st Street: If you previously selected an arrival time, please be aware that your time may have been shifted slightly to allow us to better manage logistics and elevator capacity during move-in.

Step 2: Proceed to Your Assigned Check-In Station

hen you check in, you will pick up your University ID card and the hard key for your room, if applicable. If you arrive after 1 p.m., please check in at the Housing Hospitality Desk in Furnald Hall.

  • Your Check-In Station will depend on your building assignment:
    • Residents of 503 W. 121st Street should check in at their building.
    • Residents of 600 W. 113th Street should check in at their building.
    • Residents of all other buildings should check in at 600 W. 113th Street.
  • If you arrive by car, curbside drop-off will be available at your Check-In Station for you to unload your items. However, you will need to find parking in another location.
  • Moving bins or support will be available.

Step 3: Proceed to Your Room & Complete the RCR

Before you unpack your belongings, log in to the Housing Portal to take our brief Check-In survey and to complete the Room Condition Report (RCR). The RCR is mandatory. It records the condition of your room at move-in and will serve as the basis for damages during occupancy. Failure to complete the RCR may result in damage charges at Check-Out.
