Occupancy Terms and Agreement

Policy

Every resident of Columbia Housing’s residence halls and brownstones must sign and submit an Occupancy Agreement, a document that outlines the terms and conditions governing residence in any Housing facility. For most residents, the Occupancy Agreement becomes available in the Housing Portal at the time of room selection or assignment. A resident will not be permitted to Check-In until they have signed and submitted their Occupancy Agreement to Housing. Failure to sign may delay your Check-In process or jeopardize your room assignment. If you do not sign the agreement, your room may be reassigned to another student, and you may lose guaranteed Housing status and be moved to the non-guaranteed waitlist.
