Spring 2022 Check-Out Deadlines
- Continuing students: check out within 24 hours of your last final exam or by noon on Saturday, May 14, whichever comes first
- Graduating seniors:
- Check out by noon on Thursday, May 19
- Seniors moving out of EC, Ruggles, Broadway/Hogan, or 552/554/548/546/542/540/536/534 W. 114th Street have until 6pm on May 19.
- RAs: check out by noon on Friday, May 20
Early check-outs are not eligible for prorated refunds at this point in the semester. Extensions are not available for any reason.
Check-Out Procedure
A complete list of the Check-Out procedures and other Check-Out details are available on the Housing website. You are responsible for completing each step.

Use Web Check-Out via the Housing Portal. If you have a hard key, drop it in the key drop box located in the lobby of Hartley Hall or Woodbridge Hall. Keep your Columbia University ID.

Packing and Storage
If you need help packing, and/or need to have your belongings stored for the summer months or shipped to you, please refer to the storage page in the Guide to Living.
Trash & Donations

Trash bags are available from your RA if you need them.

Trash chutes are closed. Bring your trash to your building lounges for collection. EC townhouse residents may bring their trash to the EC courtyard.

Donations will be collected in the Broadway and Wien building lounges and EC 2nd floor lounge from May 6 until May 20.
Mail Forwarding for Graduating Seniors
Congratulations, Class of 2022! Please remember to set up mail forwarding before you leave. Instructions are available on the Columbia Mail website.
Summer 2022 Housing and Relocation
Students who applied and have been approved for Summer Housing will receive notification, including relocation dates and times.
