Columbia University ID Card

Introduction

All currently enrolled students are issued Columbia University ID (CUID) cards.

Policy

Residents are required to carry their CUID to enter the residence halls. Students are prohibited from using a CUID that is not their own or lending their CUID to another person, including, but not limited to other Columbia students or non-affiliate guests. Students must present their CUID upon request to University officials.

Replacement Procedure

Residential students who need to replace a lost or damaged CUID should visit the ID Center during their operational hours. After the replacement card is printed, visit the Hartley Hospitality Desk to re-encode your CUID with housing access. It may take up to an hour for Dining Plans, Flex balance, and Dining Dollar balance to become available on your new card.
