Introduction
Energy-efficient laundry facilities are available in each residence hall and are free of charge. Laundry rooms are available 24/7 unless residents have been notified otherwise.
Update for AY 23-24: Unclaimed items in laundry rooms will be removed weekly at 6 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. Please retrieve your items promptly once your cycle has ended.
It is the resident's responsibility to monitor their laundry while it is in the laundry room and to promptly retrieve their belongings at the end of their laundry cycle. Unclaimed items in laundry rooms will be removed weekly at 6 a.m. on Wednesday mornings. The University is not responsible for lost or damaged items or items that were left in the laundry room unattended.
Residents can use an external vendor for laundry services; however, Columbia Housing does not sponsor or sanction other vendors. If you choose to utilize an external laundry service, Residential Life, Columbia Housing, and Facilities and Operations are not liable for any loss or damage associated with the use of that service. Concerns or issues related to the use of an external laundry vendor should be directed to the vendor. Additionally, these vendors do not have access to residence halls.
