Participating as an Individual

Individual Participants Cannot Select into Doubles or Suites

You must be able to fill an entire space to select into it. Once all corridor singles have been selected, remaining individuals will not be able to select during their appointment time and will be automatically added to the Guaranteed Assignment List.  

For this reason, we encourage all students to participate as part of even-numbered groups rather than as individuals. 

Rising Seniors

As rising seniors have the earliest appointment times, it is likely that they will be able to select a corridor single or a one-bedroom / studio apartment as an individual.

However, participating as part of an even-numbered group provides you with more housing options. Students participating as individuals can only select into spaces designated for one person. To live in a suite or apartment-style building, register as part of a group.

Rising Juniors & Rising Sophomores

The inventory of corridor singles for rising juniors and rising sophomores is limited. Students in these classes who register as individuals may not be able to choose a room during their appointment if all corridor singles have been selected. 

We strongly encourage rising juniors and rising sophomores to form even-numbered groups.
