Policy
The Malcolm X Lounge, located on the first floor of 627 West 115th St., is operated by the Black Students Organization (BSO), in conjunction with Multicultural Affairs.
Access & Event Procedure
Requesting Access to the Building & Lounge
Students that require lounge access must submit a request to the BSO adviser. Undergraduate Student Life will then submit a roster of approved students to Columbia Housing so that Housing can provide building and lounge access to their CUID. Access is to the lounge only; students will not be able to enter the residential spaces of 627 W. 115th St.
Events
If an event is being held in the lounge, a guest roster must be submitted to the BSO adviser at least 48 hours in advance. On the day of the event, an Event Host will be stationed at the lounge entrance to make sure guests can enter the building. Guests must be accompanied by someone with a valid CUID.
