Financial Holds

Policy

Residents with a financial hold will not be permitted to move into their Housing assignment and may be subject to cancellation if the hold is not resolved prior to Check-In. Residents who have a financial hold during the academic year may lose access to their residence hall and room.   

Failure to make timely payments, or payment by check for which there are insufficient funds when presented for collection, may result in cancellation of the Occupancy Agreement at the discretion of Columbia Housing. Please note that nonpayment does not constitute cancellation or exemption from cancellation by the resident.
